Riding the Train

So on the train the other day I finally decided to wear my headphones and listen to something on my ipod. I never do this because I like to know what is going on around me, who is saying what. But I was feeling like, why not? Everyone else is listening to something and it looks fun, and today I don't want to listen to the people around me. So I put them on and started listening to This American Life, the episode about sleep trouble...  soon I was that crazy person on the train that was laughing to herself!!  One of the stories was told by a stand up comedian and it was hilarious and I was having a war with myself trying not to laugh. I kept taking out the ipod and stopping it until I had myself under control, then feeling like I could keep my cool and putting the show back on... then feeling uncontrollable giggles coming up again. Needles to say, I have not listened to my ipod again on the train.

Remember when we discussed this?

There’s Melinda who likes her coffee brown. She doesn’t care what you put in it--just so long as it’s brown.

Joey drinks black coffee, but of course, coffee is never really black.

Sara prefers sugar--two cubes (she doesn’t mess around with packets or bowls)--and just a splash of milk.

Kathleen drinks lattes.

Bradford takes cream and sugar.

Then there’s Penelope drinking her coffee with cinnamon and milk. She likes half and half, but it’s rarely in her fridge.

Samson also likes his coffee with spices. He drinks a cup full of caffeinated oregano!

Lola prefers sugar, but will take some coffee to be polite.

The same goes for Lenny with the cream. Coffee is really just an excuse to drink half and half.

Chandler is another cream and sugar boy.

Sam has cappuccinos ever since he vacationed in Italy.

Wendy whips her cream and watches it melt in the cup. She likes how slowly the dark lightens this way.

Tammy drinks her coffee with 1% milk.

Jed with a shot of whiskey.

Jim with Baley’s.

And Mindy with tequila!

The Boysen twins drink no coffee and will refuse it if you ask.

Valentine would like to drink his coffee black, but he really can’t stomach it yet.

Benny secretly loves weak coffee. Growing up, his mother brewed the family coffee with two strainers, so the taste reminds him of her.

Jenny will go to the store to buy the milk herself if it isn’t there.

(More will come)

Jenny went to Coney Island!

We went on the Wonder Wheel!  And the Cyclone... I was scared. But when I got home I saw that I had a new blog post and it made me soooooo happy!  I laughed out loud in my very hot and humid attic apartment.

Remember when it was cooler and we went pumpkin hunting?
